



Richard Flask is the Managing Director of ProAdvisors. He is a Certified Business Broker, Board Certified Intermediary and Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor. Rich is also a member of the California Association of Business Brokers and the International Business Brokers Association. Rich is also a Director Consultant with Business Network International, the world’s largest and most successful referral networking organization.
Rich has a wealth of experience, including senior management with two large, global retailers, Partner in a premier best-practices consulting firm, and business ownership.
Rich enjoyed 17 years of increasing responsibilities in operations, marketing and international trade development with Southland/7-Eleven. He was recognized for outstanding marketing with the corporation’s “Vision Award”.
In 1993, Rich was recruited by ARCO to become head of retail marketing. He led a complete marketing organization restructure, including business processes and management systems redesigns. Rich’s contributions also included selection of a new advertising agency and development of the innovative marketing positioning still used today. The results ultimately earned “Best In Class Retailer” recognition by an industry panel.
After the BP buyout, Rich became a Consulting Partner with The Partnering Group. TPG developed and refined best practices utilized today by many of world’s most respected retail and consumer product companies. He led and co-led engagements with Chevron, British Petroleum, Pepsi-Cola and other major supplier and retailer brands. Client engagements included demand and supply side co-development of strategies, programs, organizational designs and business process redesigns that produced sustainable, incremental growth and development. Rich’s last engagement was with the number two oil company in Colombia, to assist the client in developing a retail organization from scratch.
In 2002, Rich founded RJ Flask & Associates, a business brokerage based in Orange County, California. He also served as Western Region Vice President for Gottesman Company, one of the largest M&A shops in the US, concentrating on mid-market firms and acquirers
Rich later consolidated his business into Murphy Business & Financial Corporation, becoming Director of the SoCal Region, where he established several branch offices. He subsequently created ProAdvisors to deliver higher level professional service in business sales, mergers and valuations.
